The making of ChroniQ tours
Ever wondered what really goes into making an audio tour? (Spoiler: It's not just someone reading facts into a microphone!) We're pulling back the curtain to show you our slightly obsessive, maybe-a-bit-crazy, but totally worth-it process.

1/ The Book Hoarding Phase
Picture this: We're like historical detectives with a slight book-buying addiction. For each new location, we basically raid every bookshop in sight, gathering around 16 books. (Yes, we're the ones clearing out the antique bookshops, sorry not sorry! 😅) We'll read everything from dusty old cookbooks to court cases - because you never know where you'll find that perfect historical tidbit!
Fun fact: We recently processed 810 letters from 1300-1500. Some were signed by kings! We like to think they'd be amused knowing their royal correspondence would one day help tourists find the best croissants in town.

2/ The Deep Dive Detective Work
Think of us as time-traveling journalists! We hunt down every scrap of information we can find. Old newspapers from 1880? Got 'em! Ancient court cases? You bet! We even dig through handwritten notes in multiple archives. It's like putting together a historical puzzle, except sometimes the dog really did eat the homework (we found evidence in one of those court cases! 🐕).

3/ The "Walking Like Locals" Phase
We spend days wandering the villages, probably looking like lost tourists (plot twist: we kind of are). Armed with cameras and more enthusiasm than sense, we create 360° videos of everything - because sometimes our memory isn't as good as we pretend it is! This is when the magic happens, and the perfect route starts to reveal itself.

4/ The GPS dance
Ever seen someone walking back and forth with four phones? That was probably us! We use multiple devices because GPS can be as reliable as a chocolate teapot. But hey, at least we get our steps in! This might look silly, but it's how we ensure you'll hear about that fascinating medieval scandal at exactly the right moment.

5/ The Picture-Perfect Phase
Time to make everything look gorgeous! Our two professional photographers spend a week capturing the soul of each location. They're the ones climbing walls at sunrise, waiting for that perfect golden light, and somehow making even ancient door hinges look Instagram-worthy! Then comes the editing magic - turning beautiful shots into absolute stunners that'll make you want to book your ticket immediately. (Yes, those photos in the app that make you go "wow!"? That's their handiwork!)

6/ The Final Symphony
After 10 weeks of obsessing over every detail (and drinking way too much coffee), we create something magical. We bring in professional voice actors because, let's face it, nobody wants to hear our "recording-in-the-bathroom" voice quality. Then we translate everything into multiple languages, because history sounds good in any language!

The end result?
A tour that's as entertaining as your favorite Netflix show, but with actual historical facts. And maybe a few dad jokes thrown in, becausewhat's history without a little humor?Remember: This isn't just another audio tour - it's 10 weeks of passion, research, and slightly obsessive attention to detail, all wrapped up in a neat little package for your listening pleasure. We've done all thehard work (and all the walking... so much walking) so you can simply enjoy the journey!P.S. If you see someone zigzagging through a French village with multiple phones, or photographers perched in unlikely places at dawn, give them a wave - it might be us working on our next tour! 😉
